How do I create or edit User Accounts?

A ResaleAI User Account links a Username and Password to a set of privileges.  Of course, with privilege comes responsibility so there are currently four types of User Access Level with different sets of privileges.  Below is a chart that outlines the privileges and types of accounts.

Typically, each store manager has their own Store Manager account that allows them to edit settings and create/edit new users and new employees, although Store Managers cannot create Account Owner accounts.  Of course, only the Account Owner level account can authorize/change payment for the ResaleAI account.

The manager and owner account should never be left open on the POS for security reasons. There is an automated ResaleAI POS user account that is made the first time you install ResaleAI on your POS. It should auto-login upon opening the ResaleAI application. No username or password is required. Every morning, the store opener just opens ResaleAI on the POS and all employees just use that same screen.  Even though they are using the same User Account, employees can still identify themselves individually when checking off a task on the Checklists or clocking in the When I Work integration (if you use WIW).

To add a User Account:

  1. Click the Navigation icon in the upper right corner of the screen to choose the Settings screen.
  2. Click the  Users option in the menu on the left of the screen.  Once you are in the Users screen you will see the list of Users already authorized.
  3. Click Add User button on the upper right and the Add User window pops up.
  4. Add a Name for the User (This could be Our Store for a store account),
  5. Add an Email Address (This is required for the User to create a password),
  6. Choose the Default Store (If your company has multiple stores)
  7. Choose a User Access Level (Privilege comes with responsibility so choose appropriately)
  8. Click the Add User button.  You’re Done!!

To Edit a User Account:

  1. Click the Navigation icon in the upper right corner of the screen to choose the Settings screen.
  2. Click the  Users option in the menu on the left of the screen.  Once you are in the Users screen you will see the list of Users.
  3. Click the  Edit icon to the right of the User that you want to edit.
  4. An Edit window will pop up.  Edit what you want to change.  To make a User Inactive and suspend all privileges, uncheck the Active User button.
  5. Click the Update button at the bottom of the window and You’re Done!!

Standard User

 

Can view/edit functions on Day Book, Call&Text, Back Stock, Buys, Team List Screens.  Cannot view Reports or Settings

 

Store Manager

 

All privileges of Standard User PLUS can view/edit all functions on the Account Settings page and can view Reports.  Cannot create District Manager or Owner accounts.

 

District Manager

 

All privileges of Store Manager for multiple stores in a Multi-store company.  Cannot create Owner accounts.

 

Account Owner

 

All privileges of their ResaleAI account 

 

 

FAQ: 

Is there a limit to the number of users I can add for my account?

  • There is no limit to the number of users you add to your account. 
  • Roles: Owner, District Manager, Manager, & Standard User 

How many users can be logged in at one time?

  • There is no limit to the number of users that can be logged into the store account at one time.
